Aigues-Mortes et Cheval en Camargue

One day discovering the Camargue region riding a horse and visiting the city of Aigues-Mortes, ancient lighthouse during the crusades and later jail during the religion wars in the XVII century.

Program:
Departure 9am


Morning: Discovery of the salt-mine "du midi" and its salty dunes "camelles". Seesighting of fortifications by bus. Visit of the city avec the ancient Constance tower, ancient lighthouse in the XII century and then religious protestant jail.
(View on the medieval Camargue). Walk on the fortified wall of the XIII century.  At the end of the excursion a drink will be offered on the beach (wine of sables fruits juices and bull sausages)


Midday: Possibility to have lunch in a typical restaurant  where you will have the occasion to taste lots of specialities of the region such as "les tellines" (seashell)  rice and "beef gardian"  (menu from 12 euros).

After lunch:
Horse riding around the wild Camargue, on the back of a real horse of Camargue. Leisure time on the beach.


Afternoon: Tasting of wine rosé and other regional specialities.
